JOB SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor oversees a team of around ten full-time Production Operators, ensuring the accurate and timely production of Fee Brothers products. This role is responsible for supervising daily operations, maintaining strict quality and compliance standards, and enforcing Company policies, procedures, and production protocols. The Production Supervisor must be able to address personnel issues, performance concerns, and procedural noncompliance directly and constructively, maintaining accountability while fostering a respectful and motivated team culture. The ideal candidate is highly organized, mechanically inclined, mathematically precise, and deeply attentive to detail—someone who thrives in a role where consistency, accuracy, and leadership are essential. This position reports to the Production Manager and plays a key role in keeping production operations efficient, safe, and aligned with Company standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Production Supervisor is responsible for a range of duties critical to the success of the production operation, including:
- Set and reinforce expectations for all Production Team members through clear, respectful, and consistent communication.
- Enforce Company policies, standard operating procedures, and management directives by addressing performance and behavioral issues promptly and constructively.
- Ensure daily production tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and consistently by working alongside the team, monitoring workflow, and reinforcing expectations in real time.
- Plan and coordinate daily work schedules, task assignments, and production sequences to meet output goals; adjust priorities based on staffing, order deadlines, and input from other departments.
- Monitor production work throughout each shift to ensure precision, compliance, and quality. Oversee equipment setup, operation, and transitions to confirm that products meet appearance, regulatory, and customer-specific standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by routinely inspecting equipment, materials, and work areas; model safe practices, ensure proper use of PPE, and respond promptly to hazards or unsafe behavior.
- Pull and stage correct materials based on work orders; maintain accurate inventories and keep production storage areas organized and up to date.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Batchmaking, Labeling, Shipping and Receiving, and Office staff to coordinate workflow, resolve issues, and ensure smooth handoffs throughout the production process.
- Track, verify, and report daily production metrics with exceptional accuracy; maintain detailed department records, including timekeeping, quality checks, and inventory documentation, and flag discrepancies or trends that impact production goals.
- Conduct staff meetings to share updates, relay expectations, or address issues.
- Oversee training across the Production Team by identifying skill gaps, determining who needs to be trained on which tasks, and assigning qualified team members to deliver hands-on instruction.
- Participate in the hiring process by reviewing applicants, conducting interviews, and making recommendations.
- Track team attendance; ensure absences and time-off use are recorded accurately, and document and address violations of the Company attendance policy.
- Evaluate employee performance and conduct reviews in partnership with HR; document attendance, behavioral concerns, and performance trends to support feedback, coaching, and accountability.
- Requisition or request supplies and materials as needed to support production operations.
- Support budgeting tasks by helping track department activity, suggesting cost-effective improvements, or flagging needs.
- Identify opportunities to improve production workflows, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency; recommend changes to the Production Manager to support continuous improvement.
- Work shoulder to shoulder with the Production Team to model best practices, maintain team momentum, and actively contribute to output, especially during high-demand periods or complex runs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate for the Production Supervisor position will have:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a leadership role.
- Prior experience in a production, manufacturing, warehouse, or facilities setting, with a working knowledge of physical workflows, equipment operation, or production processes; experience in food and beverage manufacturing is a plus.
- Familiarity with administrative responsibilities such as timekeeping, documentation, and performance tracking.
- Forklift certification or training (preferred).

Technical Proficiency
- Comfortable using an Enterprise Resource Planning system such as Cin7 Core.
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate): formatting cells, using simple formulas, sorting/filtering, using cell references, and creating simple charts.
- Skilled in Microsoft Outlook: sending and organizing email, managing calendars, and identifying email-based security threats.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for basic documentation and presentation tasks.
- Experienced in navigating Windows operating systems and using Google Chrome or similar browsers to seek out information and troubleshoot independently.
- Comfortable with intra-office messaging tools (e.g., Zoom chat) for frequent team coordination.
- Able to operate and troubleshoot various printer and labeling hardware/software.
- Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS platforms (preferred).
