Maria-Angela Sjögren, or as her friends know her, Mary, is a bartender who offers mobile mixology services and classes. She’s based in Switzerland.
How did you get started as a mixologist?
After I graduated from the EBS Kos, I realized that the cocktail culture in Switzerland was not lively. I started with a cocktail delivery service during Covid, then worked in several cocktail bars in Spain and Switzerland, before developing my own style and my business, “Mary’s Cocktails.”
How would you describe your personal style as a bartender?
My bartending style blends speed, precision, and showmanship.
I specialise in sweet, creative cocktails that leave guests genuinely amazed. Even when I’m fast, every detail is intentional. Perfectionism is part of the craft.
What keeps you passionate about bartending and the hospitality industry?
What drives my passion for this industry is the power of connection.
Through hospitality, I can create small but meaningful moments: a great drink, a warm interaction, an unforgettable experience. Bringing joy to people is what inspires me to keep evolving in my craft.
What inspires your creativity when crafting new cocktails?
Scents, colors, nature, and inspiring people spark my imagination.

What’s your favorite Fee Brothers product to work with, and why?
Fee Foam is my go-to. It’s a clean, odorless, vegan option that fits perfectly with my fast and perfectionistic bartending style. It travels well, lasts long, and always gives me a beautiful, reliable foam.
What advice would you give to someone aspiring to become a better mixologist?
Just start. Be brave. Experiment without fear.

What is your signature drink, and what makes it special?
My signature drink is the Maserati Notte Sour.
I created it for a special Maserati event, inspired by their elegance and nighttime aesthetic. The flavour profile is all about chocolate and almond – a touch of bitters and a smooth Fee Foam crown. A sensory experience that feels both luxurious and comforting.
Do you have a favorite recipe in which you use Fee Brothers products?
Since that Maserati event, this has become one of my favorite recipes. This iteration highlights the use of Fee Brothers products.
Maserati Notte Sour
- 4 cl (40 mL) Amaretto
- 2 cl (20 mL) Mozart Chocolate Liqueur
- 5–6 dashes Fee Brothers Old Fashion Aromatic Bitters
- 2 cl (20 mL) fresh lemon juice
- 1 cl (10 mL) Fee Brothers Orgeat Syrup
- 1 cl (10 mL) Fee Foam (for a silky, stable foam)
- Garnish with dark chocolate
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled rocks glass. Garnish with a chocolate shaving.
Fee Foam gives this drink a beautiful, clean foam without affecting the flavour – consistent, vegan, and perfect every time.
